As a result, Ghana will now have to wait to see if they qualify for the knockouts as one of the best third placed teams.
Kudus, who has played a starring role for West Ham this term, could not hide his disappointment when asked about the result after the game.
In a TV interview with GTV Sports+, Kudus looked shell-shocked as he stared into space for around eight seconds shaking his head, before declaring: "I'm out of words.

The interview didn't get much better from there either, when the broadcaster told Kudus that he'd won player of the match, leading to a less-than enthusiastic response.
"Thank you everyone for the votes, thank you, thank you," he said.
While Kudus' TV interview was nothing short of a disaster, it was nothing compared to what was happening with the rest of the media.
