Kudus furious as Ghana on brink of AFCON exit with journalists blocking team bus

Jordan Ayew had scored twice to put Ghana 2-0 up against Mozambique, a result that would have sent them through to the last 16 of the Africa Cup Of Nations thanks to Egypt's 2-2 draw with Cape Verde.

However, Ghana capitulated in spectacular fashion as they conceded two goals in injury-time to leave their hopes of qualifying hanging by a thread.

As a result, Ghana will now have to wait to see if they qualify for the knockouts as one of the best third placed teams.

Kudus, who has played a starring role for West Ham this term, could not hide his disappointment when asked about the result after the game.

In a TV interview with GTV Sports+, Kudus looked shell-shocked as he stared into space for around eight seconds shaking his head, before declaring: "I'm out of words.

"I don't know what to say, man. Thanks to the fans for their support, you know."

The interview didn't get much better from there either, when the broadcaster told Kudus that he'd won player of the match, leading to a less-than enthusiastic response.

"Thank you everyone for the votes, thank you, thank you," he said.

While Kudus' TV interview was nothing short of a disaster, it was nothing compared to what was happening with the rest of the media.

Ghana will find out their AFCON fate by Thursday evening at the latest, with Kudus and his teammates potentially preparing to head home after a disappointing tournament.
