Juventus 'to make player-plus-cash offer for Gabriel Magalhaes'

The Gunners have enjoyed a productive summer transfer window with the likes of Fabio Vieira and Gabriel Jesus having moved to the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta's defensive ranks have also been strengthened with William Saliba ready to challenge for a starting spot on the back of a successful loan stint at Marseille.

The Frenchman is in line to compete with Gabriel, Ben White and Rob Holding for a spot in the middle of the backline, but the first of that trio continues to be linked with a transfer elsewhere.

In recent weeks, it has been claimed that Juventus regard Gabriel as one of their priority defensive targets ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

According to Calciomercatoweb, the Italian giants are ready to tempt Arsenal into a sale with the offer of cash plus at least one of their midfielders.

The report says that Juventus are willing to part ways with as much as £25m, with each Adrien Rabiot and Arthur being included in the proposal.

Despite making 32 appearances in Serie A last season, Rabiot is available for transfer with less than 12 months remaining on his contract.

While Juventus are prepared to sell Rabiot, they are also happy to loan Arthur to Arsenal with the Brazilian having endured a mixed period in Turin.

The former Barcelona man made just 11 starts and nine substitute appearances in Italy's top flight in 2021-22 and is seemingly now in line to move to a different club.

As it stands, it is unclear whether Arteta will consider such an offer should it materialise, particularly with his central defensive options already locked in for the start of the Premier League.

However, Arteta is known to want to add another central midfielder to his ranks with Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans said to be one of his main targets.

From Juventus' perspective, they require a replacement for Giorgio Chiellini and an alternative to Matthijs de Ligt who appears likely to sign for Bayern Munich.
