Henry hides face in disbelief after Richards' one-word summary of Newcastle culture

The Magpies face Paris Saint-Germain in the first home match of their return to the Champions League on Wednesday evening.

Henry, Richards and their fellow CBS Sport stars Jamie Carragher and Kate Abdo are heading for the North East to cover the game.

But amongst all the excitement around European football being back at St. James' Park, there appears to be one thing in particular that ex-Manchester City man Richards is excited to experience first hand.

When speaking about how CBS viewers can get a real flavour of the blockbuster clash, he said: "We don't want to be just pitch side, we get to go upstairs, do a little bit of mingling with the fans, the Geordies, the real culture."

Carragher then asked exactly what Newcastle culture is to him and Richards' response had Henry shielding his face with his notes in disbelief.

"It's... drinking," Richards laughed.

The duo burst out laughing with each other, but Henry was left totally stunned by his fellow pundit, immediately covering his face with his hands.

"Did you really just say that?! Oh my gosh..." Henry said, raising his notes to his face.

The studio was left in fits of laughter as Carragher demanded CBS to clip the moment up onto social media.

"He will get the biggest welcome you've ever seen in Newcastle!" he smiled.

Henry was still baffled though.

"Did he just say that live on TV?!" he said.

But with a huge smile on his face, Richards simply replied: "I don't know what I said wrong!"

Luckily for Richards, most Magpies fans on social media took his comment in good jest.

"Well said Micah Richards, hangover for a week incoming," one fan said on X, along with three laughing emojis.

Another replied: "Class! Fancy a pint Micah?"

"It's a total myth!" a third joked, posting a video of Newcastle fans playing human bowling in Milan.
