Football on TV tonight - Tuesday's live action during international break

With players leaving their club duties to join up with their countries ahead of the international break, football continues to keep being rolled out and there is still plenty of action on TV to watch live

The Premier League will take a break this weekend with international duties set to take precedent as England take on Switzerland and Ivory Coast in two friendlies.

But while many see such matches as a drag, that does not mean that there is no football on hand to get stuck into.

Further down the footballing pyramid, there is a crucial clash in the National League as Halifax travel to Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds ' Wrexham that is shown live on BT Sport tonight. And being broadcast on BBC Scotland, BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website is the Scottish Championship battle between Dunfermline and Partick Thistle.

In women's football, there are some tantalising ties in the Champions League as Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain take on one another on DAZN. But the big match tonight surely goes to Real Madrid Women and Barcelona Women as Los Blancos look to avenge the men's side that was thrashed 4-0 at the Bernabeu by their old rivals at the weekend.

Away from the screens, there are also plenty of lower league clashes in League One and League Two tonight. In-form Plymouth Argyle face Cheltenham chasing automatic promotion to the Championship while Oldham Athletic are fighting for their lives at home against Sutton United.
