Euro 2024 tickets: How much do they cost? How can I buy them?

sportsmole.co.uk, 8 May 2024, 08:30
The 17th edition of the European Championships is on the horizon and the excitement is building among the 24 nations vying for continental glory at this summer's Euro 2024 tournament.

Three years on from their historic triumph over England on penalties, holders Italy will be among the countries seeking sporting immortality along with the likes of England, France, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands and host nation Germany.

A total of 51 matches will be staged across 10 different stadiums in 10 different German cities, beginning on June 14 and ending with the final held at Olympiastadion Berlin on July 14.

Here, Sports Mole provides the lowdown on Euro 2024 ticket prices and how supporters can purchase them.

How can I buy Euro 2024 tickets? Are they still available?

There has been overwhelming demand for Euro 2024 tickets, with more than 50 million requests made by football supporters worldwide between the first sales period in October 2023 and the second in December 2023.

Lottery results have already been released to supporters who applied in those sale periods, and the successful applicants have been asked to confirm their order and complete the payment process to secure their match tickets.

Any tickets for which the purchase process was not completed within the given timeframe have gone back on sale, with fans who were unsuccessful in the first sales period the first to be notified.

A ticket resale platform was created in spring 2024 - between March and April - which allowed supporters to offer their tickets for resale at face value via the official UEFA sales channel.

Governing body UEFA have now confirmed that tickets that were released in the last-minute sale on May 2 have sold out, and they advise all fans seeking to buy tickets to create a ticketing account via their Ticket Portal - if you are yet to do so - to be ready in case any additional tickets become available.

UEFA claim that over 2.7 million tickets will be available for Euro 2024, with more than 80% of those allocated to fans.

Tickets reserved for the knockout rounds - last 16 through to the final - will be sold during the tournament (from June 23) upon the qualification of the successful nations.

Supporters can purchase a maximum of four tickets per fixture and a maximum of 12 tickets in total across the tournament, subject to availability.

UEFA advise all fans seeking to buy tickets to use the official platform EURO2024.com/tickets to eliminate the risk of purchasing invalid or fraudulent tickets.

How much do Euro 2024 tickets cost?

Standard Tickets for Euro 2024 have been split into five different categories for each stadium:

Dark Red: Prime Seats - these seats are located centrally within Category 1 seats and provide the 'prime' view at each match.

Red: Category 1 - these seats are located on the main and opposite stands, or in the lower blocks towards the corners.

Blue: Category 2 - these seats are located in the corners and behind the goals, or on the main and opposite stands, situated above the Category 1 seats.

Green: Category 3 - like Category 2, these seats are located in the corners and behind the goals, but they are further away from the pitch.

Orange: 'Fans First' - these seats are located behind the goals.

Those purchasing tickets can only select a category and not specific seats within that category, and tickets from different categories cannot be seated together.

Accessibility Tickets for supporters requiring easy access seats, including those who use a wheelchair, may be located in different areas of the stadium, but they will be sold at the same price as the 'Fans First' category.

For orders with a mix of Standard and Accessibility Tickets, there are no guarantees that seats will be allocated next to each other.

Are there any travel benefits for Euro 2024 ticket holders?

UEFA have confirmed that all Euro 2024 ticket holders will have access to discounted national and international train tickets. They will also be granted a 36-hour Travel Pass for public transport to ensure that they have convenient and sustainable options to get around in Germany.
